Happy Friday

Have anything fun and exciting planned for the weekend?  Here in the states it's a long holiday weekend; one that traditionally marks the end of summer vacation and start of the school year.  Since autumn is right around the corner,  I felt like squeezing in one more summer card.  I've chosen to make a card using the digi image Violet by Hannah Lynn and available at Crafts and Me.  There's an Anything Goes Challenge at Through the Craftroom Door and one of the prizes is 3 digis from Crafts and Me!
I've colored the image using Copics, and brushed some Star Dust Stickles on the sheer part of her outfit and her fins.  Stop by and join our challenge and check out the online magazine Through the Craftroom Door!

The Monthly sponsor at TTCRD is Ippity by AJ Designs. The monthly winner will be a random drawing from all the creations entered for the month of August.

Get Cozy!

I can't believe it's already late August; the summer has really flown by.  This will be me in the cooler weather:
This is Cozy Gilli a stamp by anaRy!  Over at House of Gilli the challenge is to design a card with your favorite color combo.  I can't choose favorite colors because I love variety too much.  I do love the look of black with any color so that is what I've done for this challenge.  Stop by have a look and join us!!!
I've paper-pieced Gilli's outfit and then shaded it with Copics, and I've colored the remainder with Copics as well.  Isn't she cute ~ she's one of my favorites!  Thanks for stopping by.
I'm entering my card in the following challenges:
Made Especially for You ~ Paper Piecing
Make it Monday ~ Always Anything Goes
Paper Playtime ~ Polka Dots & Sentiment

Get Ready for School!!!

Through the Craftroom Door's challenge is to create a back-to-school card or project.  I've used an image from our sponsor Bugaboo:
I printed the digi image onto watercolor paper and colored with Distress Markers and Twinkling H2O's.  I'm hoping you join our challenge; you'll have the chance of winning:  7 digis from Bugaboo, or a $10 gift card to Floppy Latte, or a $14.50 gift certificate from our monthly sponsor Ippity from AJ's Design!  Just hop on over to TTCRD to join the fun.  Also be sure to check out the online magazine Through the Craftroom Door for lots of inspiring craft ideas. :)

House of Gilli: Challenge 39

The Challenge over at House of Gilli is to add a sentiment to your card.  I've used one of the cute little butterfly stamps from Gilli Rubber Stamps for my cards:
The butterflies were embossed with Recollections powder and then some Stardust Stickles were added:
The little butterflies would be cute and sweet with a variety of sentiments; I just happen to need some thank you cards right now.
Should you like to order some Gilli stamps, you may do so at orders@anary.com.  Be sure to come and join us for the challenge!  Thanks for stopping by.  :)

Have you gotten the chance to have a look at Through the Craftroom Door Magazine?  A craft magazine with numerous tutorials and crafting ideas.  I had a little tutorial in the spring edition; this fun treasure chest:
In the magazine I listed the steps taken to make this little chest; starting with a plain paper mache box.
The magazine comes with free digi images and the current issue has 7 free digis!  Also in the current issue is a tutorial on how to cut digi images with your Cameo ~  I need to study this tutorial because this will be really handy.
Hope to see you over at TTCRD Challenge and you check out the magazine!  Thanks for stopping by.  :)  I've added instructions with steps to making this treasure box here.
