House of Gilli ~ Layers and Stitching

Hello!  I had so much fun creating today's Gilli card!  I don't sew very much so the challenge of stitching was great for me ~ change of pace (you can do faux stitching if you prefer).  Some of my stitching was getting a bit wacky so I strategically placed some layers over certain areas, haahaaaha.  Great reason to have lots of layering for this challenge.  ;)   I made my card using the adorable Trench Coat Gilli and colored her with Copics, except for the umbrella which I paper pieced.  I used the Spellbinders Die Cut with Compatible Clear Stamps, and flowers, all available at Stamping Scrapping.  I used a bit of Star Dust Stickles on her belt buckle and boot toppers and Diamond Glaze on her belt, boots, and umbrella handle.

I got into the idea of sewing and hand stitched on top of the circle part of the die cut stamp.
DP:  Basic Grey
Copics:  coat ~ R89,85,83,81  boots ~ YG67,11, G14,12  hair ~ E25,31,50  skin ~ E000,00,R20

I hope you join us at the House of Gilli for this challenge.  Thanks, Ann  :)

Autism Awareness Month

April is Autism Awareness Month ; so I made a card using the Mission statement of the Autism Society:  Improving the Lives of All Affected by Autism.  Digital Designer Glitterbabe has a digital sale going on right now and the entire proceeds of this sale go to the Autism Society.  In case my link didn't take you to the exact spot, go to Autism Special to buy these images.  Please stop by Glitterbabe's site, it would be fantastic if you would make a purchase.  I purchased the digi package, and I'm also entering my card in the challenge for Copic Musketeers which is Reaching the World for Autism.  The ribbon on my card is a Glitterbabe digi image and I colored it with Copic Markers.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Please drop by again tomorrow to check out my card for the House of Gilli.  :)

Hi!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and are ready for "Anything Goes" for our Greeting Card Challenge over at Outlawz this week.   Yaaaaaay ~ super easy so be sure to join us!!!  For my card I used two digi images from Tiddly Inks and colored them with Copics, as well as Prismacolor pencils on the dress.

I added MS glitter to the castle and the bodice of the dress, so in real life it has much more sparkle to it.  I added Stickles in gold to the waistband and bottom of the dress.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

House of Gilli ~ Stripes and Bling!!!

Happy Saturday!  Today I present to you Gilli Florist for the fun challenge of using stripes and bling at House of Gilli!  Take a look at all the colorful, pretty projects that were made to inspire you for this challenge ~ here.  I stamped Gilli on Cryogen White paper (my favorite paper for coloring with Copics); all of which are available at Stamping Scrapping

The gorgeous purple flowers are Stamping Scrapping flowers and I absolutely loooooove them!  Here are the ones I used ~ purple flowers ~ but they have a wide assortment of beautiful flowers!  I added some shimmer to the purple flowers, Star Dust Stickles to the flowers Gilli is holding for some extra sparkle, and added a little dragonfly to the bow for some extra bling.  I forgot to mention earlier that I paper-pieced Gilli's shirt (gave it a bit of shading to blend in).

I hope you will join us for this challenge; and remember, you don't have to use a Gilli stamp but we'd looooove for you to use one!!!  Thanks so much ~ Ann  :)

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Copic Creations ~ Favorite Paper for Coloring Copic Challenge 48
Digi Doodle Shop's Best ~ Stripes

House of Gilli ~ Ribbons and Pearls!

Hello ~ Today's my day to present my House of Gilli  project, and the challenge is to use ribbons and pearls!!!  You don't have to use Gilli on your project, but you will get 2 entries if you do!  The winner gets a Gilli Grab Bag filled with Gilli surprises! Just go here with your entries.

I chose Gilli Fairy and repurposed a gift box for my project this week.  I'm going to use this on my desk to hold some of the necessary crafting odds and ends.

I colored Gilli with Copics and Copic Spicas.  I also gave Gilli's wings a coat of Star Dust Stickles.  Gilli stamps as well as the Copics and Stickles are available at Stamping Scrapping.  I used Spellbinders Pendant Contemporary Hearts which are a super good price at Stamping Scrapping right now ~ here

Here's a side view of my craft box.  I hope you will join us for the House of Gilli Challenge!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Girl!!!

I finished up this card with a cute Lori Boyd digi image just in time to enter the challenge over at CMC !!!  You have until Sunday at 7:00 p.m. if you want to enter this one.  You must do a celebration type of card using primary colors.  I searched through my design paper for some primary colors and I couldn't seem to find any.  I made do with the paper I  have and it turned into a very happy looking card, I think?!  Have a great day.  :)
