Outlawz Challenge ~ June 27

This week Red, White and Blue are the colors to use in your card for the Greeting Card Challenge over at Outlawz; hop on over to the site to check it out!  June's prize for one lucky winner is a $50 gift card to Oozak!!!  I made a card for my father's birthday for this challenge; he's a loyal Red Sox fan, and I thought these colors would work perfectly to resemble his team's colors.  Well I noticed after I'd finished coloring this Pixie Dust digi image, that I had some Copics that would have been more navy for the cap, but it was too late to start over.  :S
I used paper from Bo Bunny, and added some MS glitter to some of the star paper.  His bat and shoes got a coating of Diamond glaze, and I stitched the baseball then drew in the little side stitches on it.  Thanks for stopping by!!!

This card is being entered in the following challenges:
Designed2Delight~ Red, White and Blue and/or Christmas too
Off the Wall Craftiness  ~ Red, White and any Shade of Blue

Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge ~ June 20

Hi, hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  My family and I spent the weekend in CT, and had a visit with my parents, some sisters, and some nieces and nephews.  We had a wonderful time, and it would be great fun to do this more often, but the traffic from southeastern PA to CT can get tiresome.  :S   Now it's time for the Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge and it's super easy but funnn!!!  You need to use at least 3 squares on your card, and you may count layering.  So please come on over and join us.  This month's winner gets $50 from Oozak!!!  Please see the Outlawz site for all the details.

My card for this week's challenge features a stamp from Elisabeth Bell called 'Day Dreaming Peeker', and as usual is colored with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by!  :)

I'm entering this card in the following challenge:
A Gem of a Challenge ~ Charms and Flowers
Designed to Delight ~ Orange and Pink

Outlawz Greeting Card ~ June 13

Hi ~ I hope everyone had a fun, relaxing weekend!  Before I mention what's on the menu for this week's Outlawz challenge, I wanted to thank Suzanne from Color Me Creative (CMC), a wonderful classroom and challenge site, for my fabulous prizes.  On Friday I received three Copic refills Suzanne had sent from iCopic, a great place to shop for your Copics.  Become a member there and they offer a lower price for their products,  and free shipping for purchase totals that are over $50.  Suzanne had a beautiful paper pad sent from SCACD, and if you haven't been over there to check out the 6" X 6" paper pads, you need to have a look!  A super selection of these paper pads that are perfect for card making.

Okay, so this week the Greeting Card Challenge over at Outlawz is Father's Day or a masculine card.  It's the perfect opportunity to get your cards ready for Sunday and enter a challenge at the same time!  The other day I was searching and searching for images for my father's card.  Suddenly I saw the perfect images over at DigiStamp Boutique.  We're all adults now, but my parents had seven of us within nine years, so I imagine this is what we looked like to them at times:
Be sure to play along with this week's challenge at Outlawz and a Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!  Thanks for stopping by.  :)

Hope you join us for the party this week, and thanks for stopping by!  :)

Party Time with Gilli!!!

Hi!  I have two cards to show you today!  The first one is for Challenge #9 over at House of Gilli.  To enter this challenge you must use buttons on your project, and I'm sure this will be easy for everyone!  We'd love to see you use your Gilli images and you'll get two entries if you do, but it's not a requirement.  We'll have many inspirational ideas for you over the next couple of weeks, so keep checking in at Gilli's House.  ;)  Oh and the challenge winner will receive a Gilli surprise!!!  Here's a look at my card using Rockability Gilli (and buttons):

I paper-pieced Gilli's dress; and as I was trying out different ideas, it was reminding me of paper dolls and Colorforms.  I used to love changing the outfits and scenery of both of these, and I guess my love of card making is somewhat similar, lol.  Gilli is colored with Copics and the pretty die behind her is a Stamping Scrapping/Spellbinder die.  You can get these at Stamping Scrapping, as well as, matching stamps to go with these!  Here's a close up of Rockability Gilli:
So pull out those buttons because we're looking forward to seeing what you create!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Mark's Finest Papers  ~ Flowers
One Stop Craft Challenge  ~ Texture
Inspire Me Fridays  ~ Anything Goes
Creative Craft World ~ 3 or More Flowers

Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge ~ May 30

Before going into the details for this week's greeting card challenge, I wanted to say a big thank you to CMC for their fun Challenge!!!  I won the last challenge and Suzanne Dean, who runs the site, always has fantastic challenges to help with your Copic skills.  She also teaches Copic coloring, and if you take her online class or if she's teaching in your area, you will learn lots of Copic and art skills from Suzanne!

This week we knew everyone would be busy so we kept it simple at Outlawz, our challenge is anything goes (and as usual you must have a sentiment on the front of your card/project).  I hope you will join in the fun this week, and be sure to check in next Monday for the start of the Outlawz Party Challenge for Greeting Cards.  There are many prizes that will be given out and I'll list some of them on my blog next Monday.  ;)  My Anything Goes card uses a digi image by Pixie Dust Studio and is colored with Copics.
