House of Gilli Challenge: *Winter*

Happy Monday!  Come on over to House of Gilli and join us for some *Winter* fun!  There is a Gilli Goodie Bag to be won by one lucky person!   When I was growing up I did most of my ice skating on ponds or lakes, so I designed my card with Gilli Skater having some outdoor winter fun!
Here's a closer look at Gilli:
I colored Gilli with Copics and added some Star Dust Stickles to her skirt.  I used some little teeny Swarovski crystals on her skating outfit, and her skates got a coating of Glossy Accents.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you over at House of Gilli!

Through the Craftroom Door Challenge

Hi, I have a fun challenge to share with you over at Through the Craftroom Door.  The challenge is to make anything, but a card, and to make your own embellishments.  The sponsor for this challenge is Ippity by Rona.  I used an Ippity stamp to design the paper on the front drawer of my project.  I love this stamp, and I can tell I'll be using it a lot.  You can find the stamp I used  called "The Simple Things" here, and I order through Rona.  I made a little box for my project and I got the template from the very generous and talented The Gentleman Crafter.  You have to check out his blog; he makes beautiful projects. Here's my little treasure box:
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I'm entering my project in the following challenges:
Addicted to Stamps ~ Use the color Blue (front drawer is stamped)
Let's Ink it Up ~ Anything Goes (front drawer stamped with Ippity stamp)
Crafty Catz ~ Something New (never made this box before)

Inspired by a Book

This week our challenge over at Outlawz is a project that is inspired by a book.  I just recently read the book An Invisible Thread  for the BookEndz Challenge so I made that my book inspiration.  It was a lovely story and quick read, and you still have a couple days to enter the BookEndz challenge as well.  I used digi images by Lori Boyd on my card, and they are colored with Copics.  I used my Cameo to cut out the sky line.  Hope to see you over at Outlawz and at Bookendz!

Welcome 2012!!!

It's time for me to get back into the crafting mode.  I took a wonderful holiday visiting family in Connecticut for a few days, and also just kicked back and relaxed here in PA, so now I'm waaaay behind in my craft projects.  We have a fantastic challenge over at Through the Craftroom Door and it's sponsored  by Oozak!!!  One lucky winner is going to receive a $50 gift certificate to Oozak!!!   All you have to do is create a monochromatic project, and follow the instructions for submitting it at TTCRD.  I made a scrap layout on canvas for my project:
I used a variety of products and gadgets on my project.   I created the ticket and flourishes with the Cameo.  I punched the ball out with a circle punch and then distressed the paper with a variety of Distress Ink colors.  To give the circle dimension I concentrated most of the color toward the edges of the circle.  I wasn't going to add any glitter since this is for my nephew, but I just had to add a bit of glitter in there so I added some Star Dust Stickles to one of the flourishes.

Come on over and join us at Through the Craftroom Door for our fun challenge!  Thanks for stopping by!
